Worms is a game packed with excitement and fun though simplistic in design it none the less will keep the player enthralled for hours. It is suitable for all ages from child to man, indeed parents may play against their children making this superb edition a real family affair!

The aim of the game is to guide your worms, a team of four, around whichever landscape (there are a few to choose from) to shoot or eliminate your opponents using various weapons. Beaches, woodland or even hell may be where you will find yourself battling the enemy. You may simply choose to shoot them with a gun, or maybe you will get the bazooka out to annihilate them, or you may just throw a random grenade to get the ball rolling, its simply your choice.

The skill of this game is mastering getting just the right angle to hit your target with your chosen weapons, while the strategy element comes into play when you have to dig trenches or tunnels, construct girders or learn to teleport, it is certainly great fun. They say practice makes perfect and that is certainly the case with this game as the more you play the more experienced you will become in terms of strategies or planning.

I particularly liked the graphics of this game although cartoon like they are very well created and suit the games purpose. The soundtrack is great too being in tune with the subject making the whole experience very atmospheric. The sound your opponents make will have you reaching for your hand grenade quick smart to eliminate their screeching.

To sum up I really like this game. It isn't too taxing to the brain but at the same time has enough elements to keep you occupied. Its original in concept plus I can see plenty of scope for sequels to be produced so we can look forward to more of the same or maybe even better.
